And this year is off to a busy start!!

Can't believe how fast January past!!! Tomarrow is the first day of February and well before we know it, it'll be summer!

I'm happy to tell you all that my father-in-law is doing much better, he had prostate surgery. Then he went to a follow up appointment where they told him he was much better and that the tumor he had is benign, nothing to worry about, they are going to keep checking it every 6 months...Thank you Lord!! God is good!!!
Well, these past couple weeks have been pretty busy here at home. Cleaning and trying to catch up on paperwork. Hector was home for 5 days then left on a load to Portland. My two younger kids have been sick with ear infections and strep throat, so they haven't let me sleep well. Here is my Brianna with her little sad eyes, trying to pretend she feels fine.

Last week we also had elections at church, I was voted for choir director again here in the extention! I am so excited to start, I chose not to get it 2 yrs ago because I was pregnant with Aaron and I didn't think I could handle choir and a baby. I am glad I did, I needed then time off, but I am so ready to get started again!! May God bless our choir this year.
We also went to Bosque Magico again last weekend. We went to Mexico and our compadres were going to go to Monterrey so we decided to take the kids again. We had a fun time, again.

My favorite part was the race cars...which Nansi and I ended up getting kicked off for crashing into each other too much! I didn't know we couldn't!!! LOL! It was exciting anyway, lol!

I had a fun time with one of my bestest friends ever Nansi, thanks for always being their for me and for letting me vent all the time and for all that we have shared together and well for everything, love you!!

This last monday we also had the barbie contest for missionettes. I was there as a teacher and as a mother. Vianney had her doll, it's the violet colored one. But there was just so many beautiful dolls, that vianney didn't win...the point was to make the barbies dress without using a sewing machine...here are a few pix...

Vianney, getting ready to walk the runway!

Here is Vianney with some of her friends...

And they all got prizes for participating so they had fun!

And here I am with my class...

Two or three gathered in my name...

Ok, so I told you about my strong feeling to talk to my father in law about God a couple days ago...well, he just found out he has a tumor in his kidney, coincidence? I think not.
He is so bummed out and terrified at the same time...since he found out. He doesn't even want to leave his room. He had to come to Texas today for some errands and I had a little talk to him about how he was feeling. I told him to put his trust in God and not in man. Our God has so much more power than we can even imagine. I told him that God was really speaking to him and He wanted more from him. I don't know where the words come when I speak to him but I truly feel a greater power overcomes me when I talk to him about God. I asked him to go seek the pastor for prayer, but I also asked everyone that was with us to unite in prayer...it felt very fulfilling to pray with him and I felt God working his way into his heart. It really feels good to know that "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20.
My father-in-law has more studies on Monday. Please help me pray for him. Thx!

Just a little testimony...

Well I just wanted to share a little about my night. It's sunday night, I got our of church with my kids and was heading home, when my hubby called to tell me that my in-laws were here and they were at my sister in law Erika's house. So I made a turn and headed to her house to go see them since they are leaving in the morning back to mexico. Well, what I wanted to share with you all is about the conversation I had with my father in law...he is not a believer, but know's all there is to know about God and right and wrong. He brought his kids up telling them what was right, but never applied the rules to himself. Anyways, I have always tried talking to him about making a final decision, but tonight I just felt a strong urge to do it again, and during my conversation with him I just plain flat out asked him "what are you waiting for? Why not give your heart to God? You see all he has done for you and still you don't open your heart to him. He loves you and has his arms opened up, just waiting for you to accept Him into your heart." And I finally got an honest answer from him, he said he can't understand why God would forgive him for all the bad things he has done. He feels unworthy. I just talked to him about Gods mercy and how we are all sinners, not because we have gone to church all of our lives makes us perfect. We are sinners too and we have to daily ask God to forgive us. Anyways, I don't know if I got across to him since, like I said before, it's not the first time I've talked to him about God. But I can't help but feel like did a good deed today. Just thought I would write it down so that I would remember...

Here is a pic of my in laws...if you can help me pray for them it would be much appreciated.

Happy New Year!!

And we are finally back after such a long vacation!!!

My beautiful family on christmas eve.

My kids.......

Wow, has it really been over a month since I have last blogged?? Well, let me tell you it's past super fast, the month of December seems like a big blur. Starting from my brother in law's wedding, which was pretty stressful. Why, well the florist that was supposed to be at the church at 8:00 am did not arrive till 5 minutes after the time the wedding was supposed to start...imagine that!!! Then to top it all off, she brought the wrong pillars!!! It was just awful, so just imagine them setting everything up with all the guests watching!! Yeah, well I was so upset that I cried!!! Anyways, I'm glad it's all over, it all came out ok I think no other major set backs...the food was great and everything else rolled smoothly, here are some pix...

This was on the way out of the church...

After the wedding we relaxed a bit, went out and had a great time with the family...this was on our way to the Villa de Santiago, we stopped to "enjoy the view" at "la cueva"

And the whole family...except dad who was taking the picture.

We also had a day out with Roy and Mity our compadres, we went to Bosque Magico, which I had never been to and I highly recommend it for families with small kids, it was great. Had a lot of rides for the little ones! It was pretty cheap too!

They all got to ride together! They had a blast!

And we got soaked!!!

We also had a couple days out with Hector's side of the family that were fun at the carrizo, the weather was nice and so we went out on the 4 wheeler and everyone else went out on their 4 X 4 pick-ups.
Here are all the "Chevy's" together for a picture, ours is the white one.

And here is a pic of us, with our feet in the water...

And this is my hubby's side of the family...we had lot's of fun!
All in all, our holiday's were fun and fulfilling. But, the truth is that there is no place like home, you tend to get homesick when you are away for too long, but...I still can't wait till this december to do it all over again!
